Threaded message archives!

Howdy folks,

I have great news! The active4d-dev mailing list archive is now
available online and is always up to date.

In addition to viewing messages by date (oldest first), you can also
view by message thread. In addition, my new archiver supports MIME, so
you are free to post to the list in HTML format if you so desire.

You can find the message archive here:

    http://aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev

Over time I will be adding searching of the archives and a prettier
interface, but for now it's quite effective.

Enjoy,

Dump query params

Oky Tanardi
Hi there,

Is 'Dump query params' broken?

Nothing is display with dump query params.
The URL is http://127.0.0.1:8080/default.a4d?area=project&param=RP001IS030

In the output of dump request info, referer contain the above URL.

If I put these commands

set session ("area";get query param("area"))
set session ("param";get query param("param"))

and then dumps session, it works, the value of area is "project" and the
value of param is "RP001IS030".

Thanks

Re: Dump query params

Oky Tanardi
Hi there,

I get half of the answer.
'Dump query params' is not really broken but it show nothing if used with
frames.

In my example, 'default.a4d' is a frameset, it contain 2 frames, 'login' and
'content'. 'login' frame source is 'login.a4d'.

I called 'Dump query params' in 'login.a4d', nothing show up except the
header.

I also called set session ("area";get query param("area")) and
set session ("param";get query param("param")) then called dump session, I
get all session value are blank.

If I called the set session above in 'default.a4d', and called dump session
in 'login.a4d' I get the correct session value.

If the URL is http://127.0.0.1:8080/login.a4d?area=project&param=RP001IS030,
the dump query params works fine.

Thanks

This is the correct behavior. You have to remember that a frameset
generates a _separate_ request for each of its frames. It is up to you
to pass the query string on from the frameset (which receives the
request from the user) to the individual frames by modifying the "src"
attribute of the <frame> tag, like this:

<%
    $query := get query params

    if ($query # "")
       $query := "?" + $query
    end if
%>
<frameset rows="*,45" cols="*" framespacing="0" frameborder="NO"
border="0">
   <frame src="login.a4d<%=$query%>" name="login" noresize>
   <frame src="content.a4d<%=$query%>" name="content" noresize>
</frameset>

This should work.
