WebSTAR and Active4D

keysis
Hey guys,

I would like to know if anyone has worked with both 4D WebSTAR  and
Active4D on the same machine to customise 4D Portal. I need to do this
at the moment and would like some advice.

Thanks,
Anthony Sudiro.

Anthony,

I have not yet been able to figure out how to run both W*V and Active4D
on the same machine...I tried several strategies but could not make it
happen. My recommendation is to use two machines.

Ok, we use Apache and Active4D on the same machine so unless there is some
other conflict I suggest that you try and change the port that Active4D is
listening on.

So under the ITK Active4D shell go to the List Editor and edit the list
A4D_ITKConfig and change port=80 to port=8080. Under 4D's webserver, well
use the database properties as normal.

I hope this makes some sense, and even more I hope this works for you
